The Way of the Dove’s Tail

“The Way never acts yet nothing is left undone”
escaping water empowers cracks
noon shadows define the sun

of their own accord transform the creatures
the teacher erases the board
the children forget his features

the uncarved block is but freedom from desire
we followed the migrating flock
but they flew only higher and higher,

and if I cease to need
peace shall reign
I admired not the weed but it cured my pain
I tried to throw love away but it always returned
I scooped up glitter
and my hands burned

and when I think of you thoughts cease to be
only touches sounds visions
and Chi.
